Why are they so secretive about the time it will drop? They touted Oct 15th for a month/two months, surely all they have to do today is hit the button?
Definitely keeping up their standard of having some of the worst communication with playerbase possible
Edit: of course they have to say it was PDT now, it’s already flipped over to the 16th in multiple countries.

The weekly challenge is broken so they need to roll back, which disrupted the level 80 plan because they need to split out level 80 update from the broken version

They likely don’t have a time? Something went wrong, they are trying to get it out today regardless, but aren’t sure when exactly as they haven’t found a fix for the issue yet.
So some poor intern or communications person is stuck with having to provide an update for something they don’t know when will drop.

So they announced the revamp 1 month ago, set a date to make it live and simply cant give a proper time today.
It feels like this is revamp is not finished yet and they are hurrying to get something working today

I’m old enough to remember when *every* update went live at “Niantic o’clock”, not just the massively game-changing ones. It’s been so long that I had forgotten when that was (searching tells me it’s 1:00 PM PDT/PST).

It’s honestly embarrassing how they have advertised for a whole month that the update happens 15th of oct and now it’s already 16th in many countries. The way how they treat their international players is shameful.
