Now that Zorua has been out, a tip that you could use is, have a big pokemon as your buddy so that you can be able to make excellent throws. In my case, I have rayquaza as my buddy at the moment. I may be wrong but perhaps snorlax as your buddy would help better to be able to get an excellent throw. Even ponyta!
