This cutscene is from my fangame, Pokemon Xhenos, where one of the main themes is Theism vs. Atheism! Since this game is a solo release (not a pair), the player gets the choice on which they think will defeat the evil villain dragon, Faith or Logic?
The alien main villain dragon, Dragowrath (placeholder name, hoping to come up with better name ideas for him and his two kids), is an extremely powerful extraterrestrial being trying to colonize Xhenos and the rest of Earth! The player and acquaintances must track down its children (ancient beings trapped away in old relic structures) to hopefully match its powers and put a stop to its colonization!
The pictured dragon is one of the two secret children of the alien dragon, based on Art, Faith and religion! It was the mascot of the ancient religion "The First Light", where the people of primitive Xhenos put their faith in this dragon and believed it was their all-knowing and righteous, unwavering ruler! Unfortunately, there was a great war between The First Light followers and the cold, unfaithful other side (who took the other child's side, believing in Atheism and logic/facts over faith) and the faith dragon was locked away and went into a slumber.
These screenshots take place in the climax of the story, where the player and his mentor make it to the top of the Abandoned Tower, a shrine built to encompass The First Light and protect the faith dragon, awakening it, and catching it, just for the evil dragon to notice his child was captured by a 16-year old…
