In my opinion, Pokémon games look outdated, shitty, and made without love. The Pokémon franchise has more potential than anything else, in my opinion. There are endless possibilities.
Right now, Pokémon is solely running off nostalgia, I believe. No one’s hyped about Pokémon ZA who hasn’t already been playing Pokémon for 25 years. If you haven’t played the OG games, there’s nothing to be excited about in the new ones!
I’ve searched for some fan concepts that I think look beautiful. Because in my opinion, as I said, if Pokémon really put effort into something great and released a good open-world-like game—which is definitely possible with the Switch 2 now—Pokémon could again go through one of the biggest gaming hypes in history. It’s long overdue now!
Do you think Pokémon will ever get a game similar to those concepts, or at least with generally good graphics and a proper open world, in the next 10–20 years? If yes, when do you think that will happen—and if not, why?

This literally looks the same if not already close to what we currently have.
People keep forgetting NSwitch is an hand-hold toaster. It will never receive any “good” graphics compare to a PC-graphics!!
We know from leaks that concept art from Game Freak actually does look fairly similar to what you suggested. We also know that they are on a 12 dollars budget and 3 days time schedule with zero will for improvement from the higher ups, so it’s essentially certain that this machine will run until it breaks. Purchase games or not, it literally doesn’t have an impact

Why are people obsessed with graphics? Surely people actually want a game to be fun?
Nintendo consoles have been weaker than the competition in terms of power since the Wii, the Switches are handheld hybrids. Still though, it’s literally impossible to please Pokémon fans! So much complaining about the graphics all the time, nothing is ever good enough for Pokémon fans!!!
