[UPDATED] I rearranged the National Dex to have families and forms together (as they should!)

First thing, here's the link

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1dfDNODaeX21i4arimCLQvMQv8WxJlgHfoyF-vpYmeYs/edit?usp=sharing

I already posted this link a while back, but now I updated it with all the new Megas from Legends ZA.

I pinky promise I will keep it updated in the upcoming future with the DLC and the inevitable Gen 10 next year. Hopefully.

WHAT IS THIS FILE?

It's a spreadsheet where you can keep track of all your Pokémon (cards, Pokemon home, whatever). That's why it has the checkmarks!

The difference between this and all the others is that I have rearranged the order as follows:

– Cross gen families are placed together next to the base forms (example: all eeveelutions are placed after Vaporeon-Jolteon-Flareon). This also applies to babies (e.g.: Magby is moved up to be next to Magmar, because Magmar is the base form).

– Regional variants are added next to their regular counterparts. They share the same number but with a Reg next to it.

– I rearranged some other stuff so we could have all similar groups or legendaries together. Some examples include the Regis, the Genies (including Enamorus), the UltraBeasts, all ancient paradox / future paradox Pokemon.

– Victini has been placed at the tail end of gen 5 instead of the beginning because I use this spreadsheet for my cards and I like to have my album starting with a fresh 3×3 with all the starters. You can put it back at the beginning, I don't really care it's your spreadsheet now.

Other forms such as Megas + Gigas + Variants are on the other tabs because not everyone collects them either physically or digitally so feel free to add them to the main list or ignore them.

Notes on the numbering:

A regular form will have their official National Dex number as TPC has given to them.

– The Regional Variants have the same number as the regular form but with "Reg" at the end. Meowth and Tauros have more than one, so it is indicated with Reg1, Reg2 etc.

– Mega evolutions and Gigantamax forms have the Dex number + Mega or Giga

– Where there is a clear "base form" such as Castform, Deoxys etc, the base will have just the Dex number, while the other forms will have the number followed by .1, .2, etc. You can find them in the Forms Tab

– Where there is no clear "base form" such as Burmy, Vivillon, Unown, or major gender variants, they are indicated with letters next to the Dex number. You can find them in the Forms Tab

– Not numbers related but I used the colors chosen by bulbapedia to represent regions which took me 10 whole minutes and I'm pretty proud of it.

– Alcremie has it's own page and it still gives me PTSD

What's missing:

– Minor gender differences such as male and female venusaur, pikachu, Kricketot etc. I only included the big ones such as hippopotas pyroar or jellicent.

– The evil yellow rat with the hats. Because it's way too much and just a marketing scheme instead of something you genuinely have to collect like vivillon, Unown or Alcremie

– Silvally + Arceus in each of their 18 types deal. They kind of felt redundant and never appealed too much to me

– I don't know if I missed anything else but comment if you notice something I skipped.

This spreadsheet is now yours so feel free to add all these extra variants if you so wish!

Ps: I'd really appreciate a like or comment if you use or download it just for the fun of it!

I could swear some gens actually did have this sorting mode.

Thats a really cool resource. I personally have arranged my living dex in Pokemon Home based on the Pokedex order of each gen. And at the end I have a separate box containing all Pokemon with gender differences/different forms. (So the box would have both Raichu, all Floette forms etc)

This is pretty much how I have my living Pokedex. I like having the alternate forms and added evos next to each other
