These guys are based off of gerbils and their ability known as a tail slip or snip I can't remember which one. When they use the tail slip/snip they shed their tails similar to lizards except they don't grow back luckily these pokémon can just pop their tail back on but if they lose it then they're kind of in a oshawott without a scolchop situation. They are also guards/knights and their tails are supposed to be like spears. Anyways here are the Pokedex entries
Slipin- water type
Slippin are very curious pokémon but with that curiosity comes a bit of trouble luckily they are highly alert and can hear a pin drop in complete silence. In groups of them some will work as a lookouts and if they sense danger then they will let out a warning chirp. If threatened they will take off their tail and use it as a weapon.
Rookear- water/steel type
Rookear are very determined pokémon and will do whatever their trainer asks them to…. WHATEVER THEY ARE ASKED TO DO. It's this very determination that gets them in trouble most times as nearly nothing will determine from their "mission". If owned by the wrong trainer they can be very dangerous as they will also try to adopt behaviors from their trainer. They use water droplets to keep their fir packed together and tough as if it was armor.
Guarpail- water/steel type
Guarpail were used in the old times as guards for special materials as well as for important figures. When giving something to guard they will spend their whole lives doing whatever it takes to keep that safe. Unfortunately nowadays they aren't used to guard things as they used to and spend their whole lives looking for something or someone to guard. Some will go there whole lives without finding a purpose while others will give themselves tasks without permission. Due to this these pokémon can become quite a nuisance.
