Neighbor plugged in media tiles to have trick or treaters play Mario Kart!

I have never been so happy to make that many kids upset at the same time, they gotta learn like I did ๐Ÿ˜Ž

The “Projector playing Mario Kart 64” For the modern era.

  2. Is there 4 switches all connected for this setup?

Is that a kid with a dictator costume?! Hahahha

  4. funny enough… that is about how many trick or treaters I had last night. ๐Ÿ™

  5. The kid dressed in Wario colours is the winner.

Back when I was a kid in the 80โ€™s Halloween was the most important night of the year, we focussed on gathering the most candy we could and make it last for months. No way would I waste time on a video game

  7. 8-player couch-multiplayer not in Smash, but in Mario Kart.
    My dream!!

Imagine having a og halo lan party with a couple different houses? That’d be so sick haha

  9. The one night kids play out on the street you lure them again with videogames, great xD

OP needs the neighbor to confirm how this was configured. A few different suggestions being tossed around.

Till yo joycon disappear and nobody answers when you ask 22 strangers “hey has anybody seen a purple joycon”

  12. Is this Mario kart world or Mario kart 8 deluxe?

How much does one of these media tiles cost? Tried looking it up but not seeing any obvious pricing

This makes me I miss drybones Bowser in MKW. Sigh…

This is actually a interesting way to make a hansel/gretel themed halloween where you bait the kids in with the switch display never thought about that

That’s the type of neighbor who gets it. Teaching kids about the real pain of blue shells early builds character.

Iโ€™ll be worried if they try to steal the controller

I mean.. cool idea, and I bet they were really happy about the chance to play.

But I have to ask.. do we really need to rob kids of every opportunity to do something in the real world that doesnโ€™t involve a screen?

This is epic. Best memories made together for them I can imagine.

  20. MassiveLefticool

Just like the old days, one persons got a bigger screen than the others

  21. Very cool setup.

As a parent Iโ€™d be very annoyed waiting around ๐Ÿ˜‚

  22. TiredReader87

I wouldnโ€™t want random people touching my controllers

  23. GaleSTRIK3

Thats cool but id be really optimizing how much candy i can get

i don’t trust thieves and destructive people enough to do something like this, but this is pretty cool

Usually we set up our tv in front of our front window and have the Shudder Ghoul Log playing. This year we moved things to our driveway/carport and set up a projector. I put Over the Garden Wall on to test things out until my partner could log in to the Shudder account. We ended up keeping OTGW on all night because the line for our neighbors haunted house would que in front of our candy table. So many kids were excited to watch it while they waited.

    That’s actually really cool ๐Ÿ˜›

Don’t have room for doing that next year, but I could definitely make something up if I wanna do that for the neighborhood kids next year…. though probably won’t be able to get those funky screens
