Happy Halloween everyone! For the day of the spooky, I have a new bat line to show off. They may not be ghost or dark or a typing you would expect for a mon being posted on Halloween day, but them being bats is the Halloween fitting part, as well as another concept that I'll explain when I get to the final evolution. So these guys are literal "fruit" bats. I know there are some other literal fruit bat fakemon out there, so to make mine more unique I had them be on the more humanoid-bat looking side than just a bat. They mostly resemble bananas, but have other plant-life on them
So the first stage is Banabat, a simple combination of banana and bat. These guys are just little fruit bats, nothing too complicated to explain. Their wings are green because of how unripe bananas are also green before turning their iconic yellow color, could also be seen as the color of a plantain
And the evolution is Batroptera. This is quite the mishmash of words; the beginning part is bat but could also be seen as banana, then they have "trop" which comes from tropical because bananas are a tropical fruit, and then "tera" comes from chiroptera, which is the scientific name for bats. So these guys as you can clearly see have two forms; their normal form and a rotten form. This is where their other concept comes into play, which that concept would be a Dr.Jekyll and Mr.Hyde theme. In the original Dr.Jekyll and Mr.Hyde story, their transformation is triggered through the consumption of a potion. But for these guys, since they're fruit bats their transformation is triggered through an extremely rare fruit. So the normal form now has the iconic yellow wings that a banana is known for. Whenever they hang upside-down from the ceiling and wrap their wings around them like bats normally do when they sleep, they look like giant bananas hanging from the ceiling. And as I stated before they have more of a humanoid structure than a bat structure to help make them more unique. And as for the rotten form, they now have a much more mischievous look to them. The plant-life on their body now looks like it's wilting and their wings now look like how a rotten banana looks. I'm sure everyone probably thinks the rotten form should be grass/dark instead, but I think I would just give them an ability that gives them dark stab
