Hello fellow trainers!
I'm one of the Community Ambassadors helping to organise the event in Doncaster, and we wanted to reach out, to discuss the event, and answer any questions you might have.
We're super excited to be hosting this event, we hope you are excited about the event too, but we know a lot of people are thinking wait, what, where's Doncaster? Or why Doncaster? But it wasn't a random choice, there is a logic behind it.
If you're not sure what this event is, let me give you a brief introduction.
Community Celebration events are a collaboration between Community Ambassadors and Niantic/Scopely to enable more in person events. They are backed by the company, and they are putting in resources to make it happen, but it's ultimately organised and lead by local Community Ambassadors.
Our official event is Sunday 16th November, but you'll be able to enjoy all the additional PoIs and routes on both days. On the 16th we'll be based in the Doncaster Corn Exchange, but with activities happening across the city.
We have a unique PVP challenge we're keeping under wraps for now, an immersive geocache story created by the Doncaster team, and all the usual things you'd expect like giveaways, photo ops, organised raid routes etc.

The CA team in Doncaster are a real friendly bunch and have put A LOT of work into making this happen, it’s sure to be a great event! 🤘

What’s the logic behind Doncaster,?
How will this differ from the global Wild Area event? Will there be any exclusive spawns, raids or anything?
I’m really impressed by your enthusiasm and passion, I am convinced. I will try to attend but I am about as far away as possible in the UK.
I can tell it will be a great event.
