While it’s likely to just be a reskin of Lumiose, I’m not making any assumptions. It could be like TOTK where we thought it was just the overworld again with some sky islands, then there was an entirely new map underground

As someone who enjoyed PLZA. I really wanted an entirely new area like a city or town from Hoenn… but maybe we’ll get a second dlc with it…

I’ll take a big ol huff of hopium, and say maybe there are areas we haven’t seen.
That said, if they took a mythical that can create portals to literally anywhere, and instead of adding new biomes and diversity to the city, they just made the exact same city but greyscale…I’ll be pretty damn disappointed. Especially since the city design is easily the weakest part of the game.

I was under the impression that it’s not the whole city, but small sections that are close to the wormhole. Because of this, I feel like we should wait to see what the gameplay loop is supposed to be like before assuming it’s supposed to be like the previous dlc’s. That being said, 30 is still very steep.

I think it feels particularly poignant because ZA got a lot of flack for being in one city. A paid DLC seemed like a perfect opportunity to expand the setting, but at the same time, you know that Pokemon fanatics would have barraged TPC, GF and Nintendo for paywalling an actual world after making us pay an exorbitant amount of money to frolic around in ONE city.
I think the Lumiose City of ZA is a lot grander with a lot more content and things to explore than I initially thought. The side missions are the star of the show. Doesn’t mean that I don’t wish it was more like Arceus with an actual open world and Pokemon living naturally instead of stomping around their zoo enclosures. 🥹

I feel like some of the areas weren’t from the main map. Specifically, the one with Galarian Meowth and Beldum. I might be wrong though.

I mean the WHOLE of the original game is just one area basically so I wasn’t expecting to get a whole new location. I’m more concerned about how empty it looks to be honest. I’m going to reserve judgement until it’s actually out though. There are a whole lot of people complaining about it like they have already played it somehow when the DLC isn’t even released yet. While I agree that what we have seen is not encouraging I also think that’s pretty unreasonable.

I knew it wouldn’t happen, but I was hoping the DLC would take us to mini pocket dimensions of random areas around Kalos so we would get at least a taste of HD Kalos outside of the city. Similar to how Ultra Sun and Moon did it

The Legends Arceus didn’t even have DLC. And yet it is superior to ZA.
