    >Overcooked 2! – Nintendo Switch 2 edition is out now! Bon appétit.

    >After saving the Onion Kingdom in the original Overcooked!, you and your team of up to four chefs are needed once more to silence the hunger of The Unbread. Tear up the kitchen with 4K, 60 FPS gameplay, enjoy Nintendo Switch 2 features like CameraPlay and GameShare, plus meet an exclusive Chef: The Platinum Platypus.

    >Hold onto your aprons and try not to set the kitchen (and your friendships) on fire.

Apparently buying the Switch 1 version with the Switch 2 upgrade separately is cheaper than buying the Switch 2 edition itself for some reason.

EDIT: Switch 2 doesn’t get the All You Can Eat edition then yet?

  4. Ah yes…. update Overcooked 2 and not the remastered collection of both 1 and 2….

  5. Bad_Droid

Awesome, thanks for posting. Instant upgrade 🙂

Will it start up in less time than it takes to run to the store and come back?

  7. Please tell me you can turn off the face thing.

So I have the All you can it edition but if I want the Switch 2 upgrade I need to buy the same game again and the update… No thanks

  9. Okay, maybe Nintendo can get away with charging $10 for an upgrade pack that only adds increased resolution and minor content updates for two of the greatest games of all time.

    Overcooked? Not so much.

every little game that already ran fine will get a switch 2 update and xenoblade 1 will continue to run at poorly-scaled, sub-30fps 378p on handheld forever

NGL, this whole “Switch 2 edition” whether paid or unpaid just feels gross. I’m glad these games are all getting updates but it’s just sucking up all the air in the room when you don’t really have many new exciting games out or imminently releasing, it’s an extra bad look. Don’t get me wrong, I really enjoyed DK and didn’t hate the new Mario Kart and I’m pumped for Metroid, but I’m not seeing the killer Switch 2 game that transcends casual / core / and non-gamers alike to have a cultural moment. I guess they don’t need that and are doing just fine financially without my 2 cents….

I gave up with these games legitimately.

Spent 5 hours with my group of friends abroad trying to play online cross play and it was a minefield due to the different versions of this game.

Online is fundamentally broken in some versions, difficult to explain but there are countless Reddit posts about them.

In the end I just stopped playing as I didn’t want to fork out money for the all you can eat version which supposedly fixes issues that should have been fixed in the first and second standalone games

I bought the upgrade and cant seem to get the local co-op with camera play to work? Is this feature locked to gamechat only or am i missing a menu option?

  14. It’s so gross that we have to pay to unlock better graphics on a console that can handle better graphics, basically where we allready paid for.

Imagine buying a new graphics card for your pc and then a game like overcooked says “Nice little card you have there, for an $8 upgrade we’ll actually make use of this better performance.
