Bowser “turning” over a new leaf is pretty reminiscent of the paper mario and mario & luigi games, so I’m definitely hype about that.

I still can’t stand Chris Pratt and how little he even tries to sound like Mario compared to literally every other cast member and their respective character they’re voicing.

It was great, but I would love a teeny tiny bit of Yoshi. Still, seeing Bowser Jr. and Rosalina was great! I also loved the jokes in the beginning.
Seems like Bowser is starting to have a bit of respect to Luigi? Interesting.

Also, having Mario’s one and only line be “It’s trash” feels very strange, and out of character.

I’d forgotten that Bowser ended the first movie in a shrunken state. Seems like they’re setting up a B-plot around his new/evolving relationship with the Mario bros, specifically Mario since Luigi seems chill with him…unless he’s there to break himself out at an inconvenient time and join forces with Jr. instead.

Like, I know he’s technically in half of it, but he’s barely interacting.

What a strange trailer. For a movie called “The Super Mario Galaxy Movie” there was barely any galactic stuff shown (just thirty seconds of Peach and Captain Toad jumping into a Shooting Star and going to a planetoid, and two seconds of the star festival).
I’m guessing the Tostarena scene will take place at the beginning of the movie to set up Mario and Luigi relationship, because I don’t really see where else it could be put (except if the movie decide to put Tostarena on another planet).
I’m also guessing that we’ll have a bit of an inversion of the plot of the game with Mario and Luigi being in Peach’s castle when Bowser Jr come get back his father, and Peach and Captain Toad launching into space to rescue them, maybe by searching for Rosalina for help.
Also I kinda like the direction they seem to want to take with Rosalina’s character as sort of a badass magical spatial princess but I kinda wish they also keep the whole “mother of the stars” thing she has going on by showing a softer and motherly side to her. Guess time will tell.
