I drew the this hypothetical evolutionary line for Wallabit last year ago , and always intended to make a mega evolution of it , but never got the chance to. Now with ZA out , now is a good of a time than any 😅. Originally , coming up with a line for Wallabit wasn't a plan , as other artist who are amazing and WAAAAAAAAY better than me were already on it. Except one thing I noticed , none of them really look like believable. As in , none of them look like a gen 3 mon or a water starter for that matter. To clarify , it's not as if these talented artist should've done this and follow by , it's just something I noticed. I thought it would be cool to pretend that Wallabit was the official Gen 3 starter oppose to Mudkip (to note , i love mudkip), and make a line around that , so I took a stab at it. In my opinion, gen 1 through 3 (and maybe 4) follow a design sense of elemental animal typically. It wasn't until gen 5 and so one that Pokemon start to focus on character first oppose to an animal. The Sceptile line and the Blaziken line are very beast like , and tbh , they just get bigger from the first stages , including Mudkip. I wanted to do this with my Wallabit line. Just a small blue rabbit that becomes a bigger blue rabbit 😅. I like the finish product , except I fear that Mega Aqware changes up the design of regular Aqware too much. Idk , I'd let you guys be the judge of that. A lot of criticism I've seen of the new ZA Megas is that they don't differ all that much from the previous mon. In my opinion , no standard was set and was never the case for a pokemon to change all that much with a mega. In the very first batch of megas of X and Y , Lucario just gets more fur and black lines , Ampharos just gets hair, Blaziken just gets blacker with fire ribbons and an X main , and Mawile gets magenta pants and an extra head. Atleast that's my whole thing. Your's may vary. Sorry for the mini rant😅. I hope you guys like Mega Aqware. Oh , almost forgot , I attended the line to be a companion pokemon for lifeguards. Also , I made Mega Aqware part Fairy since i didn't want it be the only Hoenn Starter mega to be without dual type. I know Fairy is a stretch but it's the only thing I could come up with, since Mega Aqware is suppose to be a savior of sorts for any pokemon or human in need of rescuing.
