Glad its coming to the Switch. I’ve seen trailers for it for PC and PS5 and thought this is such a game meant for Switch. I may actually try it now.

Love the aesthetics for this game but *really* not sold on roguelite here. Level design is just so important for platformers, and it’s always been a highlight for the Prince of Persia series in particular. Hard to do that well for procedurally generated levels.
I know it’s popular right now but some things don’t fit well in the roguelite box.

Jordan Mechner is the GOAT. Pick up The Making of Karateka if you haven’t yet. Absolutely incredible story and very well presented.

I will probably play this, but I don’t know why Ubisoft didn’t just continue with the Lost Crown series. I feel like roguelites (especially with procedural generation) are a dev’s “day before vacation” type game design.

I played it on gamepass, just didn’t click with me at all. It’s a bit too slow and I genuinely don’t vibe with the art style

As a fan of Dead Cells and after completing the sublime Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown, I was looking forward to seeing what they would do with this one. I played it on Xbox Series S (Game Pass) but the overall look and feel just didn’t click really. It is neither a good Dead Cells game, nor a good Prince of Persia game. I would much rather they did a follow-up to The Lost Crown, but alas.
Also, a heads-up: The Rogue Prince of Persia (at least on Xbox) requires you to play with a Ubisoft Connect account, so you need to create it if you don’t already have one . Although I have a Connect account, I find this practice despicable and it soured me on the game even before playing.

Yeah I’m sure this is another game that requires you to get a Ubisoft account to even PLAY it. I wanted to give the DEMO of Star Wars on switch 2 a chance. Literally wouldn’t let me play it unless they got my data/email/made an account. Hate ubisoft.

I loved this on ps5! Unlocked the purple skin (if you know you know), beat the final boss once … and honestly that was enough for me. Had a blast while it lasted. Very smooth parkour animations.

Been looking forward to playing this ever since it got announced last year but I only game on the Switch (2) so I haven’t touched early access. I’m hyped!!
