It’s the same deal with having massive discount within a years of a release. It just incentivizes people waiting for the discount because it’s expected to happen very soon.

  2. they released Shadow Generations without giving players a way to upgrade from Switch to Switch 2 AND making the game a key card, and the game was on sale less than a month after release on Steam. Like, that’s as clear cut as it gets when it comes to SEGA games

  3. Exact reason why I will not pick up Metaphor yet

  4. If the games are designed to be incomplete i will always wait for the complete version.

All they would need to do is add an upgrade pack to existing games OR give you a massive discount for the digital version of the enhanced one if you have the og (physical or digital) alrdy

As someone who bought all the Royals, the Reloads, everything while already owning the originals, I wait for sales on the “definitive” versions instead of paying full price twice
