I’ve always known that you couldn’t get a Ditto egg, but when I read this page on breeding with Ditto from the official strategy guide for Gold and Silver, I had to double check. Ditto in fact can’t produce eggs with another Ditto, which means this page has an error (see last pic for confirmation).
