Crazy accomplishment! I am currently at 92 best buddies and I find that to be quite the effort. I think the 200 best buddy platinum medal is unreasonable! However, people like you don’t seem to mind! Keep the grind going!

i hate the buddy system as a casual player it way way to time consuming, 200 best buddies for a plat is crazy 300 hearts to get one is stupid. if you have a mon as a buddy it shoud gain hearts without you having to have it on the map that would make a huge difference to grinding buddies i hate the buddy system

1,000 best buddies is crazy! i love the buddy system too, but only just got to Platinum just before the levels rework last month.
There are two long standing issues / problems with the buddy system progress:
– When you turn midnight, the kilometers will no longer clock until you swap to a different budddy
– When you raid a gym, defeat 3 Pokemon for three hearts on one buddy (I do last one in the raid party like Brandon explained), then swap to a different buddy to defeat the three remaining Pokemon in the gym, sometimes (it seems random but happens quite often) the game will "revert" to the previous team you used for the first 3 Pokemon, and you do not get credit of 3 hearts for your new buddy. The first Pokémon of the SECOND party will initially appear during the countdown for the second series of fights, but the first Pokémon of the FIRST party will then replace it once the fight starts! If you do realize it is happening, you then have to exit the gym battle, and start over, which is a very annoying process and waste of time.
