This was my first swampert drawing I did almost 2 months ago. I still quite like it. I spent like 3 days trying to understand swampert's form. The colors were intentionally chosen differently than what I see in official art. He came out kind of stylized but in a good way. After finishing it I hadn't realized he looks like hes backhanding the viewer. Sometimes I feel like I havent quite gotten better as an artist since this piece, but I do know I have in other technical areas. What about this could I not replicate? Is it all in my head? I have some ideas and I think after my current project I will look back on this and replicate the techniques I used on a new piece. I've still got quite the long way to go as an artist.
