The new loading screen doesn’t feel very Holiday-ish



I know it's such a small part of the game but part of the allure of logging in the game to me at least is seeing all the nice new seasonal artworks and in all the years past we've had some nice Holiday/Christmas artwork but this time they seemed to have not made one, so that makes me sad.

    Am I crazy, or are girl’s shoulders weirdly narrow and neck weirdly long? It drives me nuts every time I open the game now

    It’s a focus on Paldea. There isn’t Christmas in Paldea, apparently.

    I’m guessing there was an issue with another image and it had to be pulled at the last minute. This pic would have worked two years ago when the Paldea starters were released. As for Xerneas up top, I guess this mine runs through Kalos.

    I don’t know, it seems holiday adjacent. The conifers in the backdrop, along with the silhouette of a great deer, are pretty winter themed.

    true, i never even thought about that lol. i feel like they put gen 9 starters here because gen 10 is coming soon next year so this is the last chance for the paldean starters to shine.

    It’s not holiday themed, because it’s promoting both the Paldea theme of the season, and the Kalos Tour. It features the Paldean starters in the Terminus Cave where you encounter Zygarde in XY. Just a little nod to the Paldea Pokemon debuting this season, and what I hope is a tease for Mega Zygarde during the Kalos Tour (or maybe just regular Zygarde in raids with the chance for getting a shiny?).
