What surprises you the most here?
I'm actually shocked by how Crystal is the lowest selling mainline game of all time. And by HGSS selling not great (the third least of the remakes,) compared to how well G&S sold. Makes me think G&S sold so well because it was riding off the high of the 1st gen and really after that the pokemon fad died down for a bit. The age group that played during those games probably were just now hitting high school and it wasnt cool to like pokemon anymore. Makes sense when seeing how poorly cyrstal sold and the 3rd gen dipping a bit.
For me personally i was 7 when i got yellow when it came out and stopped after Emerald when i was 13. Lost interest after that and never played gen 4 until a few years ago when i really got back into pokemon.
