It's a snail line that lives in water near deserts, Water/Bug type. since they have to travel over land sometimes in droughts, their shells have a pattern mimicking Trapinch and Flygon, whose ground types would scare away their weaknesses.
Originally this was just going to be a dragonfly pomemon that looked similar to the flygon line, like Paldea's convergents, but then while trying to come up with a way to make that unique I had the idea of the fake Trapinch shell and it turned into this.
