Don’t know about America but, round where I live in the UK if a cyclist has been killed whilst out on their bike. They put these up in the location it happened

  3. It could be a memorial for a kid who got hit by a car. We had one in our town.

100% a memorial for a cyclist who passed after an accident in that location. I’m a professional bike messenger, these are a real thing. There are a lot around here in Seattle, at least two that I knew personally.

We have these (and the accompanying pokestops) all over my town. It’s actually from a national program called the Ghost Bike Project and they are indeed memorials for people killed while on their bike.Β

And of course it’s in Michigan ✨

  7. In my area they seem to have no problem getting pocket stops so that the apartment dwellers never need to leave ther homes, no matter how iffy the stop is.

It’s a ghost bike, memorializing someone killed at that spot

Could be a ghost bike. They are memorial bikes left in places bicyclists have been struck and killed.

They are called Ghost Bikes. You can look them up online it will usually have the person’s memorial info.

  12. We literally had a small rock as our pokestop near my local Krogers πŸ˜†

Pokestops like this are one of the little charms of this game. This is stupid as hell and I love it.
