I’m guessing the draw is supposed to be the avatar item + the increased tier bonuses. Tier bonuses exclusive to deluxe are double stardust for gifts, 1/2 hatch distance (I’m guessing this is supposed to be the draw), and 2x xp for pokemon. And I suppose the 1/2 hatch is especially valuable to people who already bought the monthly pass and have the extra incubator.
Much as I want the shiny hat pichu, paying for the pass and then also paying for extra incubators seems like a lot.
ETA: I did the math. Looking at the 7k box for incubators, it’s 70 coins/incubator (I’m not distinguishing between purple vs blue for this). On the website, the $100 pack of coints works out to about 0.65cents/coin, making each incubator worth about 45.5cents. At $7.99, that’s about the same cost as 17.6 incubators. IOW, if free half hatch would’ve resulted in me using an extra 18 incubators (so 54 hatches), I’d have ended up spending more than the cost of the pass itself.
I’ve been walking about 60km a week now that winter’s hit. Without any reduction from purple incubators or CA check-ins, it’s 3.5km a hatch so I’d be getting 17 batches of eggs over the event. Assuming free incubator + 8 paid, that’s 136 eggs or 45 incubators.
I guess I should be glad the game is saving me from myself.

Throw in some coins or a trinket and replace the premium battle passes with remote raid passes and there’s at least an argument for value. This is genuinely worthless.
