Fakemon

Creepy Ghost Cats, an Icy Touch of Death, Leaf Bugs, a Smelly Musk Ox, Potato Dinos, Four Toed Horses, Smilodon, and a rough idea of how the region is divided. What do you think?

Drekakat- They like to serenade neighborhoods with song at 3am. Their singing has been described as nails on a chalkboard. If they spray you with ectoplasm, it means they like you.

Drekougar- They are extremely stealthy and don't make any sound when walking. They enjoy stalking and following people at night. If you notice them, they will scream as loud as they can and then attack.

Macabryo- Anything they touch ends up frozen solid. If a Macabryo is spotted near a human settlement, a specialized shaman trainer is tasked with subduing it and carefully separating their fingers. The fingers all share a single mind but are incapable of mustering any strength to battle when in that state. It is only when all fingers reunite will Macabryo restore itself to its most dangerous state. Merely touching the ground can flash freeze everything within ten feet.

Litterleef- They are born with empty wing sockets and must procure leaves to fit inside them to allow them to fly. They blend in almost perfectly within leaf litter and predators have a tough time catching them.

Autumble- The knowledge that their favorite leaves from adolescence are wilting and will never be green again has jaded them. They have a tough time relocating the joy and whimsy they've once had in abundance in life and that negative energy tends to get others down.

Bovusk- They have zero predators. They hang around gaseous bogs and eat onions. Their stench can be detected from a mile away. Their flatulence has the force of a claymore.

Spudosaur- When they sleep, they bury their feet into the soil and release roots from under their toenails to absorb nutrients. The spines on their tail secretes scalding hot oil. They use this tail to defend themselves against predators.

Friteor- The hot oil they produce in their body has caused latent spines to protrude from their back. They can fire globs of hot boiling oil as well as coat their spines with it.

Kobbelklop- They are believed to be the ancient ancestor to Ponyta, Blitzle, Mudbray, and Chevallo (previous Fakemon). They are skittish as they're common prey to many Pokemon in the Lostworld.

Quakuartz- They have powerful leg muscles that allow them to kick with tremendous force. Their toes are harder than rock and can destroy cave pillars in a single strike.

Smilynx- Believed to have been extinct since prehistoric times, this Pokemon was the very first one discovered inhabiting the Lostworld. Since then, they have become the unofficial mascot for the underground region.

Feraline- Their teeth are harder than diamond. They mostly go after small easy prey like Kobbelklop, but when pushed, they have been known to successfully ambush Rhydon.

So more explanations on the Treska Region. It's two regions in one. Think Tears of the Kingdom and how it has the Depths. Treska's Overworld has the typical environments you'd expect from a region based off Alaska. Pine forests, snowmelt rivers, tundras, glaciers, snowy peaks, cold oceans, steppes, tar pits, etc. The Lostworld underground is a much warmer climate and hosts plenty of prehistoric Pokemon. Will have environments like, tropical forests, mangroves, saltwater lake, lava lake, wicked thicket (spider webs infesting a large dead tree), glass desert (crystal ceilings will have spots that act as magnifying glasses and during the day they'll be scorching the spot below making it impossible for plant life to grow. Will also turn the sand glassy and glittery), mushroom forests, etc.

Macabryo isn't a legendary, it's a pseudo-pseudo legendary. Think like Lucario or Volcarona. A Pokemon that is not a legendary but is treated like one or easily mistaken for one. Their fingers are like Zygarde cells. Whenever you find five randomly hiding in shadowy/cold spots, they will combine and spawn a full Macabryo somewhere nearby. They start spawning again after the Macabryo is either defeated, caught, or you wait so long they despawn (in case you lose/forget where it ended up and want a do over)

Fossil restoration won't be a thing as all the fossil Pokemon can be found in the Lostworld. Smilynx and Kobbelklop could be viewed as unofficial fossil Pokemon in a way.

I'm having trouble coming up with a second legendary, so I'm thinking of changing course and having Treska be more like a Legends game than a proper mainline dual Pokemon game. I'll showcase the legendary and the starter evolutions in the next post. The legendary will be a seal that freely creates diving holes that access the Lostworld. Think of them like a Nebby or Koraidon/Miraidon equivalent narratively speaking. Their name will be Pinnised and they'll take a lot of inspiration from Sedna from Inuit folklore. So, imagine a black-haired seal with large hands (imagine a cute little seal with big humanoid hands clapping in celebration or holding them in a valet position as they wait for you in their portal. It's an endearing mental image so I want to go in that direction. I'll give Pinnised some kind of form change or evolution into something big and monstrous to fit being a box legendary).
