Find a screwdriver online shopping for the tri-pointed style needed. Open the back of the docking station unplug all the wires, remove the screws holding the cover onto the pcb. gently lift that cover and unhook the 2 small black tabs holding the pcb in. unplug the white 2pin plug for the led pwr indicator. lift the entire inner cover off the back, revealing small Phillips recessed screws which can only be reached with a precision driver's shaft. 10 of those later and you will have something like this picture.
Just cut the two small thin springs where the red arrow points by 1/4" and re-assemble. This is how I got my switch to stop having disconnect issues, hasn't happened since.
