I never did get into Pokémon when it exploded in my youth, but my son caught the bug this year, and I just admit I’m at least mildly intrigued.
He and I both appreciate art for art’s sake, and he really enjoyed seeing his favorite characters pictured on the cards as he opened the packs. Thanks to this sub, we are now able to appreciate the difference between a full art and a bulk card, from a collector’s standpoint.
We used the Battle Academy box to play through our first successful game, and we are both looking forward to building some custom decks with the cards he opened.
