Is multiplayer built in or requiring a DLC purchase like the old one?

Switch 1 version is $2.99, Switch 2 version is $3.75. No upgrade path. It’s actually kind of cheeky.

Played the 1st game back when it was available through Game Trials or whatever and tbh.. I don’t get it, like it was fun for 1 hour but I was left feeling like “wait, that’s it?” Am I missing something?

Someone replied to me when this first came out that it was on the same level as Tetris!!!

Me and my family and a few friends were so addicted to the first game for awhile. None of us ever got two watermelons. If it wasn’t for the global high scores I’d almost believed it was impossible. I still play every once in a while it’s very cozy. No idea what this new version will play like

I got this on Apple Arcade a couple weeks back and have been addicted since

I thought this game already came out.

Punyan seems to be more feature packed. Anyone here played it?

    Edit: punyan instead of punyin

Anyone know if/when this will be out on iOS?

I like the fresh coat of paint on it personally. Looks better, the small characterizations are cute, the fusion streak score boost is kinda sick to encourage moving fast, and achievements are neat. Not too bad for 4 bucks as something to pop in from time to time.

For those who like to try it, the base game is still a free webapp (add the webpage to your Home Screen) https://suika-game.app/ and this version is great for quick sessions when you’re on the train and get bored (but please mute or use headphones in public haha, the sfx are incredibly satisfying)
