Smeargle used to be a serious threat in the VGC because it was the only other Pokemon besides Darkrai that could use the move Dark Void. They had to nerf the move itself by making it fail if it's used by any Pokemon other than Darkrai.
How come I have all three salandit I have hatched till date is all female I once saw a vedio with thumbnail that female one was very rare and also I did evolved one of them😅
Smeargle can be used sometimes, in very specific circumstances against Team rocket. Lock on and a fast charging move (the ones that got 3 charges normally, like power up punch) and if the opponent has a slow fast attack, like confusion or Incinerate. The opponent can’t do anything to it. Only way to get one with those moves is if smeargle copies a shadow Pokemon with lock on and frustration. I got one, but never has to use it. Always beat Giovanni first try anyway.
In the main games smeargle can copy any move, in pokemon go, there are multiple attacks it cant learn, like wirbler (i forgot the english name, the charge attack of tyranatur) or dragon ascent from rayquaza (i havent tested dynamax canon jet, but i don' t think thats possible either)

Chill out on castform. Rainy castform was really good in pvp for a long time.
Shiny rainy form cast form is extremely rare and so is shundo smeargle is like really hard to get, guys Mystic fell off🤦

Smeargle has great play in little cup when allowed and castform has decent play in certain gbl cups, so not useless Pokemon
