She was so excited to get a bubble mew and asked if she could use her allowance to pay for the rest with a trade in. She traded in her prismatic espeon and Ethan’s adventure and used her allowance for the rest. Towards the end of the convention, someone swiped her bag and she had it stolen along with her eevee plushee.

If it’s in a convention center then they have cameras. Most modern cameras have Facial recognition for a few hundred feet. I would bug the shit out of security and file a police report.
Damn. Thieves really did it to a child. Stealing is always wrong but i can almost understand someones thought process behind stealing from someone with 1000s in pokemon, but to take from a little girl… I wish em the worst.

That’s really horrible, I’m so sorry. Do you know if there were many vendors around the area where it was taken who had cameras set up around their booths and could look through their footage for you?

What kind of pokemon is she into ? I can look through what I have and send her some stuff or some packs or something . I have a son that’s not even 2 and the thought of something like that happening to him makes me sad , I’ve taken him to shows before but he’s to young to do much at them . Im very sorry this happened to you, I cannot imagine how devastating this would feel, especially as a child.
If you guys ever decide to try and obtain another bubble mew in the future, I highly recommend looking for a Chinese copy on ebay. Look for a seller that has many positive reviews. The Chinese version costs approx 100 usd and is very beautiful.

Sorry just confused, plus Dad – why are you letting her, a small vulnerable child, walk around a big convention center full of degens carrying a multiple hundred dollar item??? When my 16 yr old daughter pulls $100 bill of her money from the safe ( I actually get it out for her) so she can go spend her money on something, I put it in my wallet and hand it to her at the checkout line. Mind you she’s like 5’8″ too and looks semi grown..

If you can try to find any Pokemon vendors there that are known or you remember seeing around your daughter and contact them for footage. A lot of them are recording constantly for content / security purposes. Hopefully you can catch that thief in action, that is downright horrible.

How can someone steal from a little girl on a public place and nobody see or does anything? I am really sorry for what happened to her 🙁 In recent years our hobby got some awful people attracted only to the money value… Hopefully they will move soon.
