Probably a dumb question but how does the Kyurem fusion thing work?

So I’ve got the shiny Kyurem and he’s got bad IVs and. Perfect I’ve Reshiram. If I fuse those two would I get a shundo fusion? If not how does the IVs work between the two? Is it like add the both up and divide by 2?
