Tepig and Oshawott are quite faithful to both Gen 1 and Gen 5.
Snivy looks a little bit different. Less Snivy, more tiny Serperior.

I finally get to see your work as it’s posted, and not just the through the video (which I’ll still watch). These are great. Snivy is my favorite partner Pokémon out of all of them, and you did it justice. I’d’ve picked this, were it among my first generation choices! Great work.

personally i think tepig needs a bit stronger redesign – it needs to be clear to a 7y.o. kid on a gb’s limited colour palette and tiny screen that it is THE FIRE one of the starter trio. Maybe a little puff of smoke or flame from the nostrils? Or flame-shaped ear tips or head mark?

Unfortunately i don’t have anything more interesting to say, besides that your render breakdown videos helped me a lot on trying to make sprites that look they’re from the old Pokémon games, although i need some more practice on those
