Like a lot of others, I recently got back into collecting in 2020, but I grew up with base set and stayed into the hobby through diamond and pearl era. All through that time I just bought whatever product target or the LCS had at for cheap (and hopefully with a promo), and didn’t spend much time going back and buying older packs or trying to complete any sets.
Getting back Into this as an adult, I decided to be a bit more purposeful with my collecting, and set out a goal to master set Neo destiny. The condition doesn’t matter, as long as the cards are unlimited edition and English (aside from mew obviously). After roughly 5 years of being back into it, I’ve finally acquired every shining card for the set. I’ve been lucky to have collected most of the big ones early on, so my bank account isn’t crying too much. I know this is a bit of a showoff post, but I just think these cards are too peak not to share and I cannot believe I have these in my collection.
