As a day one player and lifelong distance runner, this was the perfect way to complete this level. All my Pokemon Go distance is legitimate, and I'm proud of catching over 18,000 Pokemon during this level!
With the storm hitting much of the country, it was bitterly cold but I dressed up in many layers and got out there in the original spirit of the game.
Pokémon Go has become a lifestyle for me as much as running. I will do my daily run with incense and my Go Plus+, catching at minimum 300-500 Pokemon in an average run (8-10 miles). More catches if I'm following a route, and even more with adventure effects (I like either Ice Burn or Spacial Rend, but I'm not sure which results in more catches.)
Marathon and ultramarathon training go perfectly with Pokemon Go, and as a community member, both have vibrant groups in my local area. I will gladly go to raid hour downtown at 6pm on Wednesday and be back at 6am for my Thursday group run.
