Dynamax Ho-Oh debuts on January 31st! ππ
Ho-Oh is a Fire/Flying type legendary pokemon with great all-round stats. Having 7 resistances (2x resists Grass, Bug), Ho-Oh can perform as a top tank, once it gets a fast move with 0.5 seconds cooldown (rework on Extrasensory would help). At present, Ho-Oh is a decent Fire type Dynamax attacker.
Ho-Oh is naturally bulky and all the charge moves it has are Nukes. Brave bird (2s cooldown) is the fastest, followed by Sacred fire (2.5s), though theyβre comparatively low in power itβs good to rotate for the moves with longer cooldown. Its crucial to use tanks with 0.5 seconds cooldown.
Note: This infographic is based on having Ho-Oh at 0.7cpm (same as Dmax Moltres). Each pokemon have 2 most damaging (left side) & 2 least damaging (right) boss moves on them listed at the bottom of their panel, moves inside Brown segment β single hit KO, Red β Can absorb a hit, Orange β 2 hits and so on.
π₯ Dynamax Gigalith (Debuting on 26th Jan) is the top attacker, followed by Gmax Inteleon. Both Gmax Inteleon & Gmax Kingler would outperform Gigalith on Rainy weather.
π₯ Dmax Blissey is our best generalist Tank πͺ & a viable Healer. Blissey can tank few hits from boss moves but everyone else have one or two threats.
π₯ Dmax Lugia is not a traditional tank, because of slower fast moves, it can act as a catch-tank on certain resisted moves, particularly Earthquake, which Lugia can comfortably tank 3 to 4 of. But the risk is having the energy accumulating tank get knocked out accidentally.
Other than the listed PokΓ©mon,
π₯ Dmax forms of Inteleon (#6), Kingler (with Bubble) and Toxtricity are decent attackers.
π₯ Dmax Ho-Oh & Eternatus both 2x resist Solar Beam, they both can work as catch-tanks (but its risky). Dmax Kabutops can tank few hits of Fire moves from Ho-Oh.
All the Best! ππ
