I’ve heard that Gigalith is hard to animate, but why is that? And if the writers had decided to evolve Ash’s Boldore, do you think the animators would’ve needed 5–10 years to finish the Pokemon’s animation?

Do you think Boldore would've stood a better chance against Hydreigon if it had evolved into Gigalith?
