
For a week now I have a dillema – I am lagging in waves of 3-5 secs, which last and behave just like on the video. I get the "spinning pokeball of death" and interracting with the map (pokemon, pokestops, gyms, showcases, routes, rocket battles) as well as any management in game (gifts, store, transfering pokemon) lags for sometimes a long time, which seems like an Internet problem and here starts my problem: I tried 4 different sources of Internet (my providers, home wifi, mother's wifi, neighbour wifi (lol)) and it doesnt matter, Im still lagging… so you might think this is a device problem – well this is NOT a device problem. How did I check? If you google "pokemon go lags" you can dig up some reddit posts and in one of them a user said something about his account lagging but someone's other didnt on the same device. So what did I do? I made a second account, and lo and behold there were no lags! Game is smooth as butter, no interrupts in gameplay, which led me to believe that somehow my account is lagging… I tried every other possibility which I can think of might help – I refreshed game data, downloaded assets, checked for updates, reinstalled the game, reset my phone, I contacted support (which basically told me to resintall the game 3 times…) and NOTHING is helping.. My will to play and enjoyment is dwindling, I just login every morning for a painful spin and catch for streaks and thats it… and I cant think of anything that might help me… any1 in the same boat? Am I doomed to just wait for a fix?

I have the exact same issue. Also sometimes Rocket Battles immediately end with a loss, without ever getting to actually battle the grunt.
I also tried pretty much everything you’ve tried to fix this, but to no avail.

I have this since kyurem fusions raid day. The game is quite literally unplayable and after a week full of struggling and frustration i decided to uninstall
Assuming you checked on a different device to make sure it is not the phone but actually the account itself or the internet connection (sometimes I have those lags too, but mainly because of cell provider issues and it goes away after a couple of seconds or if I move to a different spot)
It might not be the specific reason for your account, but it has been a reason for other people in the past, why an account is lagging: too many unfinished special researches. It might help out.

I had the same issue (I might even be the one that commented it on reddit) and I spammed the support about it explaining them everything, I also asked Ai to help me with it and it told me it was a server side cache issue and only Niantic could do something about it, after spamming te support for about a week and after they stopped responding the issue resolved by “itself”

Same issue for me as well — tried different devices, different wifi networks, cellular, downloaded assets, refreshed game data, etc. and nothing fixes it. 5-10 second lag when I try to power up/evolve/transfer mons, when I click one on the map, when I try to claim research, etc. and it’s driving me insane, makes the game very difficult to play.

I had this issue too. Won’t be much of a help but it seemed to fix on its own after a few weeks. (Unless support actually did something behind the scenes when support stopped answering me)
