Maybe the best approach would be to expect nothing or hitting just one of the “special” possible attributes of a boss (shiny/good IVs/Special Move/Background) .
You can only be positively surprised that way if you end up beating the odds.

Many would have necessary origin or fusion energy at this point – so maybe skip those (if not then probably a few raids to get that done ), I really dislike these stupid chance of getting a bg pokemon from raids- frankly I don’t care for them but its boosts business for them. I am personally not gonna grind for another hundred different kinds of hat on a pikachu and it’s shiny.. but that’s just me.
Really wish they had another bottle cap in the go kalos pass- was really looking forward to one since I have won many shiny 98 that could be a shundo…..

This is not a new level, it has been this way for a few years now since the Sinnoh Tour. We had random chance for background, shiny, IVs, the right boss, and the random move that could not be ETMed in 2024.
It’s really business as usual. And it seems to be bringing in the profits, because they keep doing it.

Only thing that matters here is if it has the move and IVs if you’re into masters league. Most of these other things are completely normal for a raid with the exception of backgrounds which do absolutely nothing and only you can see.

First off – A “good” pokemon is not a shundo with a special move and background.
Secondly – it doesn’t cost anything as your title suggests.
It’s also been out for years, so if you “NEED” it and can’t find one or two people to help you beat a legendary raid; then guess what, this game isn’t for you. Which we already judging by the UNGODLY amount of negative posts you continue to put on here.
Edit: more Kyurem raids for people who didn’t get enough fusion the first two times – but no mention of that after all the complaining.
