Hello all, I was a big Pokemon fan when I was younger, around 1998-2005-ish If I had to guess. Recently picked up my collection from my parents basement where it had sat for the last 15-20 years or so. Remember getting this card "in the wild" from a pack at a WalMart in maybe 2003-ish? and apparently it's a pretty valuable one. IDK much about grading (more of a coin guy myself) but it has a few fold marks and slight edge damage, but is otherwise intact.
Any input? Thanks!

Nice potato phone
My input is to put it in a nice, solid case, [maybe something like this](https://a.co/d/3cVUeih), and then treasure it for years to come. Honestly I would even consider framing it.
The purpose of grading is twofold: to increase its value for selling and to preserve its condition. I don’t know if you care about the first one, but you’re better off handling the second one on your own I would say. Grading is expensive, you might not like the result, and the slabs they stick the card in certainly don’t add any aesthetic value.
