Maybe don’t launch a global version and it won’t be an issue.

That’s not what they said, Nintendo didn’t reject the uncut Version, they told AdHoc it wasn’t compliant with their guidelines to not have the appropriate age rating from regulators. Which the uncensored version didn’t have due to CERO regulations.
If Nintendo was the culprit, why didn’t they place that info front and center in their description but, conveniently “missplacing” the eShop notification about the mandatory censorship for weeks or even months? Why didn’t they use a single social media channel to inform customers about the censorship weeks or even months before release? And why didn’t they, when they finally said something on release, not mention anything how the same censorship was applied to the PS5 JP version to but hid it to give more credibility to them pointing fingers at Nintendo?
Nah, I don’t believe AdHoc. They were lazy, they didn’t bother and just dumped the CERO version globally, hoped they’d get away with it, shifted the blame and doubling down.

This is actually a case of AdHoc not bothering to update their game to suit the requirements of different rating boards. CERO is a lot stricter than ESRB.
Reminder that Cyberpunk 2077 is censored in the JP release. CD Projekt Red got it right and adapted for the different rating systems, AdHoc didn’t.

Nintendo rejected it, because accordion to Japanese censorship laws, they literally aren’t allowed to accept it on Japanese Switches…
The more precise headline would be, CERO rejects the Uncut version of Dispatch and AdHoc is too lazy to create a censored version for the Japanese market, like they literally did for the PS5!
