Regardless of your feelings on remote trading itself, the improvements they made to the tag for remote trading are INCREDIBLE!
Holding on a pokemon shows its moves, IVs, as well as where and when it was caught. Additionally, it shows the background your pokemon has, if it has one.(Pictures 1&2)
Pokemon with the remote trade tag who have a background, additionally have a new icon, similar to that of a shiny or shadow pokemon, which is small blue flowers in the bottom right corner of their icon. (Picture 3)
These are incredibly nice QOL changes, but currently ONLY apply to the remote trade tag. I hope that this is being used to test the features before expanding them to all tags/pokemon.
Going through the "add pokemon" button for the remote trade tag and holding down to check pokemons moves/ivs is SUBSTANTIALLY faster than appraising, scrolling down to see the moves, then swiping to the next.
Overall amazing QOL changes that I hope are planned to be extended to more parts of the game than just the remote trade tag
