Cimetrouille is a mysterious plant-like entity that manifests only on Halloween night. Born from pumpkins abandoned on forgotten graves, it awakens when the spectral energy of wandering souls resonates with its cursed seeds.

Upon awakening, Cimetrouille drives its roots deep into cemetery soil to absorb the memories of the dead. It then uses exhumed bones to form a skeletal framework, wrapping its vines around them to create a humanoid body.

Its glowing face, adorned with a cruel smile, shines through the darkness like a macabre lantern meant to lead spirits astray. Some say that those who encounter it hear ominous whispers or feel an eerie, spectral chill.

Cimetrouille is not inherently malevolent, but it fiercely protects the places it considers its territory. It is sometimes seen slowly dancing among the graves, performing a grim choreography as a tribute to the deceased.

Legends say that at the heart of its pumpkin lies a very sweet black seed, capable of sprouting a new Cimetrouille with a unique appearance—provided it is planted in soil soaked with tears.

Comments:

A small Halloween challenge: I present Cimetrouille, a pumpkin that comes to life in cemeteries on Halloween nights. Cimetrouille use the bones found in graveyards, wrapping their roots around them to fashion a body.

Still not fully satisfied with the sketch or the final render, but I tried a new lighting technique.
