I’ve always been a fan of those "draw Pokemon from memory" challenges, so I decided to turn the concept into a web app called Sketchdex.
The goal is to fill your Pokedex by sketching all of the original 151 from memory. In the main mode, you get one shot and a 5 minute timer to submit your drawing. Once it’s in, that’s your official entry. It’s been really cool seeing the community grow to over 800 users and 3,000 drawings so far!
Based on much feedback, I’ve also added a new Casual Pokedex. This mode is for people who want to draw without the pressure. You get unlimited time and as many redos as you want to get the pokemon just right.
Once you’ve submitted a sketch, you unlock the community gallery for that Pokemon to see how everyone else remembered (or forgot) the same one. You can also share your personal collection or individual drawings via direct links.
I’m still working on new features like sketch trading, and a battle system using your actual drawings. I've included some screenshots below to show how it looks and credit to users Pokemandrew and Bubblegumartwork for some of the sketches in the previews.
