can top loaded and penny sleeved cards still go bad after years?

i recently picked up a card guard top loader binder and moved my personal collection into it all. all cards are top loaded with a penny sleeve. would I ever need to change out the cards into a new penny sleeve or top loader after a certain amount of time or am i just going crazy and paranoid lol. plz lmk!
