Hi! it’s me again, I spend almost 8 hours making this one yesterday, I finished it today.
I saw that there is just two or three versions of Alolan Ninetales in mega-evo on internet, and only one in sugimori style, but that one looks very, very saturated an reminds me more to a legendary, but I like the aurora borealis concept, so I try it myself; I must say a Struggle a lot on this one, I tried to respect the style the most I could, using as reference the original ninetales, aurorus and cosmog for the line art, color and shading, but even if I did I still feel that the “auroras” are a little off the sugimori style, I don’t know why… this morning I added the highlight waves on the auroras and it made it look better but, deep inside I still feel is not well cocked… so, If someone has an advice I will take it for future works.
For the idea, as I said I got inspired by a Mega Alolan Nintales that appears in the first results on google, but I did a different approach, Aloan Ninetales is pretty minimalistic, so, I tried to not get to far of that, I decided to make almost all her fur too look as auroras, I even got a version with magenta colors but it was too messy, so I kept it on the green tones, maybe a shiny could be all magenta and red; the little white things on her fur are supposed to be snowflakes and reflections, so de idea is that her snowy fur traps the sun and makes it look like that, It is not meant to be realistic, is Pokémon after all, so de tails are still snow, the aurora aspect is just visual because fairy magic, like “it stores sunlight to glow at dark nights an places” or something…
same as de Dugtrio, you can use this one as for anything if you like, just give me credit, hope you like it.
