I feel like BW2 and PLA gave more respect to the player characters of their prequel games more than ZA.
Like, BW2 have us meet people with deep connections to Hilbert/Hilda like N, Cheren. Bianca and their mom, and all of these characters mentioned about Hilbert/Hilda.
PLA have Rei and Akari who are Lucas and Dawn in different outfits, and the player is implied to be Lucas/Dawn from the present day.
In ZA, not many people mentioned about Calem/Serena and they doesn't get treated as an important figure. AZ and Emma doesn't mentiom about them at all. I found it weird that AZ doesn't mention about Calem/Serena at all since they have great part on helping AZ reunite with Floette. The only people that mentioned about them was Lysandre and Korrina. Grisham and Griselle could've mentioned about them too, since they're the ones that disbanded the old Team Flare.
