Fakemon: Chrysapoly

Today, I present Chrysapoly, an extremely rare Cocoon Fakemon.
Chrysapoly is considered very rare because, in this form, it remains almost completely motionless. The few Chrysapoly specimens recorded by humans have been discovered deep within underground tunnels, hanging upside down from the ceiling.
Extremely vulnerable, Chrysapoly is locked in a state of constant sleep. The eye-shaped patterns on its body are meant to intimidate predators, while on each side of its body lies a real eye that opens only when an imminent threat is detected.
When seen from the front, Chrysapoly resembles a large butterfly. This optical illusion serves to hide its true appearance and discourage potential attackers.
Shiny Form:
The colors of the Shiny form are inspired by Stitch, as Chrysapoly’s face reminded me of him during its creation.
Comments:
The initial sketch was disastrous—I had to redo it entirely, and I’m still not fully satisfied. I really love the concept and the design, though, and I’d like to redo it once my skill level improves.
