Is it worth saving the Master Ball for moments like this? A shiny G-Bird and only 5% battery left on my phone.

After about six months without seeing a single G-Bird, one finally appeared today, and it was shiny! I had plenty of time, Poké Balls, and Gold Berries to try and catch it, but when I found it, my phone only had 5% battery left. As soon as it dropped to 4%, I didn't want to risk it, so I used the Master Ball. It came out as a zero-star G-Bird, but it's a shiny! This is my second one; now I only need Moltres to have all three.
