So a while back I made this post for assigning Pokemon for the Doppleganger trio (Niko, Rob and Dash). Since they've come back and we don't know any more of their teams I thought it would be neat to have some more thoughts on this since the protagonists have gotten new Pokemon:

| Gholdengo | Bisharp, Onix, Golurk | Bisharp and Onix both evolve into more powerful steel type pokemon but have fiddly evolution requirements; so I think they would be a good challenge for the well intentioned but lagging behind Dot. Golurk is just cool and is a solid humanoid figure who is a ghost type like Gholdengo. |
Note I didn't give Rob a Captain Pikachu equivalent as that is not Roy's pokemon (yet).
