I completed 5 Raids with my Buddy active and walking around with me and also as a Pokémon selected in my Battle Party. Yet the Research hasn’t registered a single battle. Any suggestions?

Did you feed the buddy?
Otherwise I have no idea.

What kind of raids did you complete? Did you make sure that you’re using your buddy in the party and not just the same species?

Don’t know if this is the problem, but if your buddy is a Dynamax or Gigantamax Pokemon, max battles are not considered raids.

Your buddy needs to be fed and in your raid party for these tasks to count. Sounds like you only fed them, but didn’t use them in the raid itself.

Restart the app? Fixes most of my unregistered problems.

This is absolutely a larger bug because a very similar thing happened to me. I was out farming max battles and raids to evolve kubfu last week and the *only* one that didn’t count was a Tatsugiri raid where I put Kubfu in my battle party to get hearts.
Something about having your Buddy in your battle party is causing issues, which was mildly annoying for me but obviously gamebreaking for research like in the post.

I had the same issue with a regular field research that required me to battle 1 single raid with my buddy. I put my buddy at slot 5 of my prepared team and it didn’t count either
