A similar name has definitely been thought of before i know, but I digress. I wanted to make a Jynx Evolution that doesn't lose most of what makes Jynx Special, which almost makes it Gen 1-ish in that way, at least especially in comparison to another Psychic type like Alakazam-
Anyway I feel as though a lot of Jynx redesigns or Evolutions tend to slim it down a little, which is a shame because its one of the few stocky feminine Humanoid Pokémon along with like, Illumise, so i tried to avoid that
I mostly just decided to expand on the elements of Jynx's design i find the most cool, which are the dress fins! or Dress Spikes, I know it's likely they weren't always intended, but they've been a feature since Gen 3 (see official artwork), though I feel like it's not really a weird interpretation, especially considering one of its first artworks, but i digress
Jynx are usually found in cold watery caverns, and a lot of Gen 1 ice types are associated with water, so I think it makes sense to associate the Jynx's dress spikes as being fin-like, as well as being mollusk like, like I know what the PokeDex Body Type says, but not only does Jynx not have anything under the dress in its model, but the PokeDex says it has no footprint (yes I know, Anime and Mega Kick)
but the Dress Fins really just help sell the human-like nature of this mon, like yeah it is human-resemblant, but it has something off about it. And honestly a thing a lot of Jynx redesigns miss is that Jynx is supposed to be kind of confusing and off, yet still hypnotically alluring. Inspirations are good and all but i think it's also important to consider how the final product is intended to act in the world of Pokémon
Anyway this evolution is kind of just, Jynx but more, but sometimes, that's all you want in an evolution, especially Gen 1 style. It does mean it doesn't really fit with the drastic change Electivire and Magmorter got, but ehhh Jynx has long left the trio unfortunately
though even outside of Jynx but more, i did sort of want to give it a more cute charm, by hiding the eyes. My beta with just the eyes like tangela leaned into more of the off style of Jynx but i feel like a lot of the line has a lot to do with kissing, so i decided to go with just the lips showing. Focusing more on the lips it uses to kiss, and to sing! Many Jynx dex entries mention its very human-esque speech patterns, and its cry is known for being super long and super singsongy, so I evolved that by making Heks sound uncannily human, and also sing a lot
Oh also it has more ice crystals because Ice Type, speaking of, i don't really like retconning in evolution methods that didn't work before, no matter how much Gen 8+ tries to gaslight me, especially if its with stones, but i can't really think of anything better than the ice stone here, maybe a new move evolution
